UNIT 19 Home Owner Association, (HOA), which began in 1988 and  consists of forty three fourplexes, totaling 172 individual owned units, these units were built in the 1980’s by E.J. Robson the developer of Sun Lakes properties.  Our community is bordered by Riggs Rd., Alma School, Michigan Ave and E.J.Robson Blvd. and surrounds holes 10 and 11 of the Cottonwood Golf Course.  UNIT 19’s common areas total about 7 ½ acres which includes winter and summer grass, shrubs and a variety of trees.

Residents of UNIT 19 have chosen townhouse living rather than individual homes in the Cottonwood Palo Verde section of Sun Lakes for many reasons. The most common is the flexibility of townhouse living with all the amenities but without the responsibility of individual exterior structure and grounds maintenance. 

Our townhouses are maintained on the outside through monthly HOA UNIT 19 fees.  The fees are most commonly used for roof replacement/maintenance, outside painting, outside common area maintenance, insurance and many other items. 

The homeowners of UNIT 19 are represented and directed by our own elected HOA Board, these Board members are also property owners and are committed to our community.  In addition to elected Board members there are committees that are comprised of volunteer homeowners. These committees are functioning to support and improve our HOA.  Homeowners are encouraged to participate and play an active role in improving the aesthetics and value of our community.

Homeowners of UNIT 19, also enjoy the large list of amenities included in the larger HOA2 of Cottonwood Palo Verde to which we also pay semi-annual fees.  Each unit is just a short distance from Cottonwood’s main activity center.
